MIZUNO and Setsumasa Kobayashi have introduced the WAVE PROPHECY RING MOC.
The release marks the latest chapter in a long-running relationship between the Japanese sportswear brand and the MOUNTAIN RESEARCH founder, whose earlier projects with MIZUNO include the INFINITY MOC, first released in 2007.
The shoe combines a classic moccasin-style upper with MIZUNO's hollow WAVE PROPHECY sole unit, designed to provide stability and cushioning. Beneath its understated exterior, the model brings together a series of technical details, including an inner structure derived from the SKY MEDAL, a ring-shaped strap that holds the midfoot, and a dual construction pairing a suede upper with a mesh inner layer.
The WAVE PROPHECY RING MOC will launch first through MOUNTAIN RESEARCH's online store, before releasing later at select MIZUNO stores and through the brand's online shop.
