LEMTOSH+

By MOSCOT × BEAMS PLUS

The second chapter of MOSCOT and BEAMS PLUS's quietly celebrated eyewear collaboration arrives on June 13th, building on what was already a landmark moment in Japanese optical history. The original LEMTOSH+ was notable for being the first time MOSCOT — the century-old New York institution — agreed to modify the mold of its iconic Lemtosh silhouette for any market. That distinction belongs to BEAMS PLUS, whose reputation for rigorous archival references and considered proportions earned them the kind of trust most brands rarely receive from legacy houses.

This second edition doubles down on that spirit of genuine creative partnership. Two colorways define the new release: a refined two-tone reading that nods to mid-century intellectual style, and a limited Classic Brown rendered in deadstock fabric sourced directly from MOSCOT's Manhattan headquarters — a detail that ties the frames back to the original brand's physical history. Both colorways continue the two-size offering (46 and 49) that proved so popular in the first run, addressing the frequent demand for a wider size range in Japanese optical retail.

The collaboration extends beyond the frames themselves. A specially designed outer box and custom lens cloth accompany the release, reflecting the kind of object-level care that distinguishes both brands. To mark the launch, BEAMS PLUS will host MOSCOT trunk shows at its Marunouchi and Osaka locations, offering customers a rare opportunity to experience the broader MOSCOT archive alongside the new pieces.

The LEMTOSH+ is not simply a Japan-exclusive colorway. It represents an ongoing dialogue between two brands that share a commitment to craft and proportion — one rooted in the Lower East Side, the other in Japanese select culture's long tradition of reinterpreting American classics through a more disciplined lens.
