Graphpaper — the Tokyo-based label known for precision tailoring and fabric research — has launched a new project called REPRISE through its sub-line Graphpaper -. The initiative revisits fabrics the brand has developed for past seasons, offering them renewed purpose through contemporary interpretation.
The debut lineup comprises five pieces. Standouts include a shirt cut from leftover broad-stripe fabric woven from ultra-long-staple Supima cotton in an exceptionally fine yarn count, originally produced for the Spring/Summer 2024 season. Alongside it, a military pant crafted from deadstock fabric prepared for Autumn/Winter 2023 — material that never made it into the original run — surfaces here for the first time.
REPRISE is not a simple reissue. The project asks what happens when materials from a specific moment are looked at again through the lens of the present — and what new garments that act of looking might generate. Each piece carries the weight of its prior life while feeling decisively current.
The five items will be available from June 20 at Graphpaper conservatory in Tomigaya, Shibuya, and through the Graphpaper online store. As with the brand’s broader output, quantities are limited.
