SHADOW ORIGINAL WINGTIP

By ENGINEERED GARMENTS × Saucony

ENGINEERED GARMENTS, the New York-based label founded by Japanese designer Daiki Suzuki, continues its long-running creative dialogue with Saucony. The latest result is the SHADOW ORIGINAL WINGTIP, a collaboration shoe that reimagines one of Saucony’s most enduring running silhouettes through the lens of East Coast workwear classicism.

Departing from the original’s nylon and mesh construction, the SHADOW ORIGINAL WINGTIP upgrades the entire upper to leather, transforming what was once a performance road shoe into something closer to a dress-casual hybrid. The defining detail is the wingtip broguing stitched across the toe and heel — a nod to traditional American craft footwear that feels entirely at home alongside ENGINEERED GARMENTS’ utility-inflected tailoring.

The colorway follows a two-tone logic, pairing contrasting shades in a manner that reinforces the shoe’s split personality: athletic heritage on the inside, dressed-down elegance on the outside. The result is a shoe that works as readily with chinos and an oxford as it does with fatigue trousers and a chambray shirt.

The SHADOW ORIGINAL WINGTIP drops on June 6 at NEPENTHES stockists and online. Priced at ¥33,000 (tax included).
