EH-2

By E5 eyevan × HYKE

Following the debut of their collaborative eyewear in the Autumn-Winter 2025 season, Japanese eyewear maker E5 eyevan and Tokyo womenswear label HYKE have announced a second installment. The new piece, dubbed the "EH-2," is set to release on Friday, June 12.

For this second chapter, the duo drew inspiration from the HGU-4/P aviator sunglasses — a model long adopted by the U.S. Air Force. The silhouette's geometric clarity and functional rigidity informed every element of the EH-2, from the front construction to the rivets and temples. The result is a sunglass that carries military utility into the realm of civilian refinement.

At the construction level, the EH-2 uses pure titanium across all front components — top bar, bridge, rim, and guard — ensuring both structural integrity and minimal weight. A triangular rim profile, echoing the HGU-4/P's own geometry, provides resistance to deformation and long-term shape retention. For the temples, the design team turned to bio-soft titanium, a premium material that balances flexibility with strength, enhancing the fit and hold for all-day wear.

The EH-2 will be available at E5 eyevan's directly managed stores, through HYKE's online store, and at select HYKE stockists across Japan from June 12.
