BUDSPOOL x GAKKIN

By 舐達麻 & GAKKIN

BUDSPOOL is the original brand created by 舐達麻 (Shidareuma), Japan's most celebrated underground rap collective, rooted in Kumagaya, Saitama. Known for their raw lyricism and uncompromising independence, 舐達麻 have quietly built BUDSPOOL into one of the most sought-after names in Japanese streetwear — one that operates on its own terms, blurring the line between music merchandise and standalone label.

The brand's latest collaboration pairs BUDSPOOL with GAKKIN, a tattoo artist whose intricate handiwork has cultivated a devoted following across Japan's subculture scenes. GAKKIN's artwork, drawn specifically for this release, spans an open-collar shirt, trousers, T-shirts, uchiwa fans, sensu folding fans, and sneakers — a full summer lineup positioned as both cultural artifact and functional warm-weather wardrobe.

The drop lands on June 27, accompanied by a two-day pop-up at THE PLUG in Jingumae, Tokyo. The event features live painting by TAKUYA KAMIOKA, food by Q-CHANG CURRY — a curry spot with deep ties to 舐達麻's hometown of Kumagaya — and exclusive pop-up-only items alongside gifts for attendees and purchasers.
