Each summer, Tokyo select store COVERCHORD and eyewear brand BLANC produce a collaborative frame that captures the season's particular light. The latest installment — the BE022 for COVERCHORD — is available from June 13th, and it may be the most precise expression of their shared aesthetic yet.

The BE022 is a new base model from BLANC that had previously seen only limited distribution. COVERCHORD's involvement unlocks an exclusive colorway treatment, grounding a frame that might otherwise read as purely architectural in something warmer and more wearable. The silhouette is a slim oval with a subtle cat-eye lift at the corner — a shape that manages to feel both contemporary and classically proportioned, with a shallow lens depth that references the narrow-framed eyewear of the 1960s without costuming the wearer.

What distinguishes the BE022 is its surface precision. The frame's lines are sharp and reduced, with semi-flat lenses that carry the light differently from conventional curved optics. The effect is quiet and deliberate — the kind of detail that rewards a second look rather than demanding a first.
